Blessed Be Your Name

Every now and then there is a praise song that brings me to my knees. For awhile now this has been one of my favorites. But this Saturday night during worship at our churches Saturday night Safe Harbor this one for some reason took on a little more meaning than it use to. I have always been able to grasp that our God gives and takes away. But have not always been able to praise his name during those times when he takes away. But with the birthday of my late mother drawing near it really filled me with a new understanding of how we do need to praise our Lord no matter what! I have like I said not always been good at that but now I really see the importance of it. I think it is also important to remember that no our God is not fair and if he was my sinful soul would have been doomed a long time ago. I want to share this song with you maybe it will touch you in a way never before.

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name
